Preston's Knit & Crochet Group brings together people of all abilities every Saturday morning to share skills, creativity and good conversation. From complete beginners learning the basics to experienced makers working on their own projects, every session is filled with colour, warmth and encouragement.

It's more than just crafting, it's a chance to connect, relax and enjoy time together in a friendly community setting. Whether you leave with new stitches mastered or new friends made, every Saturday is time well spent.

Organised by Healthier Together from Meridian Preston and supported by FAM Big Local, the group meets at Catherine Beckett Community Centre and is open to absolutely everyone.

What to expect

Everything you need,

Knitting & Crochet
Work on both knitting and crochet in the same session, a rare group that welcomes both crafts side by side.
Beginner Teaching
Never picked up needles or a hook before? Friendly teaching is available every session to get you started with confidence.
Bring Your Own Project
Already mid-way through something? Bring it along. Or arrive with nothing and begin a brand new project with group support.
Good Conversation
Crafting and chatting go hand in hand. Expect a relaxed, sociable atmosphere where good conversation flows as freely as yarn

From total beginners to seasoned makers, every skill level is valued and supported within the group.
